Views from the Wild Kingdom

Normally when new wild life appear I email the friends and family (possums, skunks, coots, geese) but tonight I am just plain tired so will post here...

The Winds were bad, then they got better, then back and forth through out the day....it was so nice to stay in and clean the den/SB room ..(yes I know I have been attempting this for billions of years) but today I was going strong (foreshadowing) hadn't hit the plateau of overwhelming to do's had made great strides yesterday...mom told me yesterday that a friend of hers would be stopping over sometime today after a Birthday party which started at 2...now lets set the picture I have a mother who does not have a cleaning bone in her body (unless you count when she is on the mend from a serious illness then she goes into power cleaning mode) so usually that means I am the maid....so stopped on my project...and deep breath, cleaned the hallway carpet and living room carpet, then mom decides that she needs to clean out the sun room (new flooring is coming Friday)and so helped move furniture ....so you see my days never go as planned...a friend even suggested that mom deliberately does this so I won't get done with my projects (make her look bad for not doing anything) ...what ever the case ...while cleaning the living room carpet (due to puppy and mom ) looked out on the deck and see

Red-tailed Hawk(otherwise known as chicken hawk) the wind was so bad, it came up this close to rest (don't want to think about what prey it was after) usually they don't come this close to the house...so it was neat to get to look at it up close, as you see it looked at me a couple of times ......pretty soon got spooked by me and moved on....Guess what while one of the guys that farms for us stopped by, mom's friend never did (as usual) .....but at least I got 2 other projects off my to do list as maid....

sorry to my scrappy friends..but had to share/vent ...well got to get to bed, as work in the am....Catch you later...
