This is still dropping ones and it booms everytime
Do not know if you can tell but evergreens are bent in the ice and you can see the geese finally flying south (loud all day)

Ok so we had no internet all morning, then no power, now finally get around to posting as electricity is back on, and now we are back to low voltage...so making this quick..really getting bad with flickering got to run...Stay safe and in...Catch you later!
Bloomington still has ice all over everything. Hardly any traffic. Recycle and garbage cans still on curb from this a.m. Don't want to risk broken bones. Got big and small branches all over back yard. Can stay there til spring for all I care. Hope we keep power when winds pick up Sat. night and Sunday. Keeping fingers crossed. Auntie
ReplyDeleteNo school in Quincy but then the temps warmed up so much our ice was just a big, sloppy, slushy mess and we could have had school after all. You got it way worse than we did. Christmas parties at school are postponed til Jan. 5th, can we say anticlimactic? :-)

We just got our elec back on about 7:30 tonight.... so we were out from 3 am Dec 19-7:30 pm Dec.22. Having computer and HOUSE withdrawal....
ReplyDeleteI took a sleeping pill tonight as I won't have to get up to switch the generator extension cords every couple of hours. Thank God for Mike. He got the generators going so we didn't freeze. It took 3 hours for him to get the tractor and generator out because the shed doors were iced/frozen shut. Sat nignt he had to drive the tractor out to the fuel barrel with the generator behind and then plug in the fuel pump to the generator to run the electric pump to fill the tractor to run the generator. Man do we take elec for granted!
Buddy got to sleep in the house Sat. night.... Way too cold in the garage. Linda
